The Drisko Group is a co-operative association of senior environmental remediation management professionals who are dedicated to assisting clients in resolving environmental contamination issues in a manner that is timely, cost effective, safe, and fully protective of human health and the environment.
Jo Ellen Drisko, the founder and President of the Drisko Group retired in 2008 from 15 years as President of Glenn Springs Holdings, the wholly owned Environmental Remediation subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
During Mrs. Drisko's 15 year tenure with Glenn Springs she actively directed the remediation of over 100 sites across the United States with clean-up costs in excess of $1 billion. Working with Mrs. Drisko, on an as-needed basis are a number of other recently retired members of the Glenn Springs senior management team who, over the years, have worked together to perfect a unique approach to Environmental Remediation management.

Our Unique Approach
Drisko Group recognizes that virtually all sites with environmental contamination have differing characteristics which require an individualized approach to each site. Drisko Group believes that the very stylized process introduced by the Superfund Legislation (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act - CERCLA) in 1980, while much needed at the time, is often not the best approach today. Drisko Group also believes that CERCLA, RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) and the other governing laws and regulations are robust documents which can accommodate varying pathways to the same end point: Protection of Human Health and the Environment. Drisko Group also believes that co-operative efforts between the PRPs (Potentially Responsible Parties) members of the regulatory community, citizens and other interested parties in conjunction with regular on-going communication is critical to achieving end results acceptable to all parties at the lowest possible costs.
With these beliefs firmly in mind, the Drisko Group begins each engagement with a brief, holistic review of all factors that may need to be addressed including community outreach needs, potential brownfields opportunities, likelihood of natural resource damage claims, pending or threatened litigation, long term land use, establishment of accounting reserves and identifying foreseeable specific engineering needs. Drisko Group partners with some of the foremost environmental engineering firms in the United States to be able to identify for our clients specific skill sets when needed.
Why Drisko Group?
The Drisko Group brings very focused, highly experienced, management skills to environmental contamination issues. The Drisko Group assists only a small number of clients at any given point in time so that our efforts are fully engaged in the projects with which we work. Because of our extensive use of partnering and part time associates, our clients receive a very cost effective remedial solution because they pay for only the skills and tasks that are needed for their specific sites.
